Começando de algum lugar (it has to start somewhere)

 

Casal – estudo em lápis de cor – 1989. (Couple – colored pencil study- 1989)

Fiz este estudo lá pelos idos de ´89 baseado em uma fotografia de jornal. Foi um bom estudo, tanto que ainda hoje, eu acho que ele possui boas qualidades como o tratamento da mão e do tecido que a moça está agarrando. E já que esta galeria de imagens tem que começar em alguma lugar, é sempre bom começar como todos os trabalhos começam: com um estudo.

I made this study based on a photograph I saw on a newspaper. Even today I find that the treatment of the hand and the cloth are rather nice. Since an image gallery has to start somewhere, I thought it would be nice to start it like every other art work: with a study.
